Manero Barricarte Winery was founded in 2010 as the result of the work and effort of a vine growers family.
Heir to the family winemaking tradition for nearly two centuries, Manero Barricarte Winery has 55 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin.
Its philosophy, as winemakers who love genuine and authentic wines, is based on the vine care and environmental respect. The result of this work are good grapes that lead to the production of high quality wines, which express the nature of the terroir and climate.
Manero Barricarte Winery looks in the vineyard for the highest expression to be transmitted to the wine. A singular terroir, limestone and sand mixture in a suitable climate which encourages the perfect ripening of all varieties.
Manero Barricarte Family has vineyards nestled in the town of Azagra. Their own agricultural heritage, where the average age of the vines is 20 years, allows them to control the entire process to produce wines with the highest quality.
They have red varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo; and white varieties: Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Viura. In addition, plantations are made with vines from their own garden center and each variety is planted in the optimal terroir to obtain the highest oenological potential.
